Endings and Game Structure

There are 20 types of “mid-story” endings that represent failures or unresolved storylines. In total, 17 complete endings exist, including unique routes for individual characters and different resolutions at the final chapter. Some endings intentionally mislead players into thinking the story has concluded. One such fake ending appears cheerful but hides its incompleteness, encouraging players to remain attentive and skeptical.

Homicipher is designed for replay, with about five hours required to complete all major routes. Players may need to revisit scenes with an expanded vocabulary to uncover their full meaning. The game includes audio-based elements, so playing with sound is recommended.
